Today: Favorite Batman pairing?
This question can be taken from a crime fighting angle or from a romantic perspective. I decided to take a look at it romantically. If you've been reading these, you know I'm a big fan of Dick Grayson. I also like the character of Oracle a lot (formerly Batgirl). Being under the tutelage of Batman for years would inevitably make two people from the opposite sex bond, right? Dick and Barbara always flirted while serving in their respective places. Upon reaching adulthood, that bond grew even closer.
When Barbara was crippled by the Joker, I kinda expected to Dick to not be that interested anymore. But his resilience and willingness to make the relationship work proved that there was more to him then met the eye. Barbara's transition to Oracle made their relationship change a bit, slightly distancing them from one another. Eventually, they found themselves at an on-again-off-again juncture.
Put simply, these two help hold the foundation of Batman's world together. They've been with the Dark Knight forever and always make sure he's kept in check. Although I think they're currently not interested in one another, it just seems inevitable that they'll find one another in the future. They belong together.
