Today’s Question: Favorite Batman villain?
I hate to go with the crowd here but it’s just too difficult to resist. The Joker debuted way back in 1940 (in the same issue as Catwoman) and has become an essential part of the Batman universe. His simplicity and usefulness also make him one of the most popular and used of Batman’s nemeses. The Joker is the perfect antithesis to Batman: chaotic, anarchic, flamboyant. Just the profile or silhouette of the Bat and the Clown lets you know that both are meeting a familiar but unpredictable chain of events.
